Abstract: A 10 page argumentative essay which posits that although the format and content of televised politics cannot be validated on the point of quality, the issues raised promote discourse, which is always a valid point. The paper explores the pros and cons of televised political debates and advertisements and their statistical influence on the audience, within the further delineation that the medium is a rapid-information system working on a passive audience.
