Substance Abuse In Unexpected Segments of Our Society

Abstract: A 9 page discussion of substance abuse in one of the more surprising segments of our society, that segment comprised by our medical professionals. The author contends that the same factors enter into determining this abuse as do with street users. In some estimations, however, the problem is much easier to address. Not only can factors such as more stringent inventory control, and leadership and accountability within an organization favorably influence substance abuse, so can the expertise of the organization be turned toward treating the root cause of the problem.
