The middle of three children, he does not participate in group activities being that he feels separated from the family core, an indication of Middle Child Syndrome. School performance has suffered due to his drug use, as well as his ability to choose appropriate peer associations. Having distanced himself further and further from his parents' concerned and protective nature, Justin has become but an occasional presence in his family's home. The writer discusses reasons behind Justin's situation, as well as possible solutions. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
