Abstract: This 7 page report discusses addiction and the fact that all addictions the product of many complex causes. Addiction rarely has a single standard or set of parameters other than the wholesale pain and despair it eventually causes. The theoretical approach of cognitive therapy in the context of group therapy is also discussed in relationship to treatment for addicts. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
