John Wycliffe and the Lollards

Abstract: This 10 page paper looks at the man who was responsible for translating the bible into English in the later fourteenth century and considers why his movement was doomed to failure and the influence it had on society in the short and long term on aspects of life such as power and war. In order to understand this the paper looks at both the man and his ideas that were proven to be ahead of their time. The bibliography cites 9 sources.
